world war 2 reloaded
World War II takes place every June in Reading, Pennsylvania. In the course of a three day air show, more than 1,000 re-enactors create their vision of WW II battle fields, complete with St. Lô, a bombed-out French village constructed of plywood where GIs and German soldiers participate in mock battles staged for the visitors.
Photographed in Reading and Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, from 2002 - 2004.
